I have found that pricing is better done when I know what you want. I have also found sitting down and talking with people seems to help with the decision making process and gives me a better idea as to the amount of time I will spend on a project. What I have been charging is about $100 per day of work. A basic shoot with nothing really done and only one camera is roughly 5 days of work for myself. A large full scale production can run up to a months worth of work. So this is why I say to talk to me, have either a budget in mind and I can tell you what I can do or have an expectation in mind and I can tell you what it would cost. The great thing is meeting and discussing this doesn’t cost a thing.
